Under limited supervision, assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations and duties of the Planning & Zoning Department. Work requires a consistently high level of customer service while providing technical guidance and assistance to the public and a variety of groups on planning matters requiring judgment, firmness, and tact. Performs routine administrative office tasks, attends public meetings, and assists other planning staff as needed; including preparing and updating data analysis such as maps, charts, or tables of limited complexity. Work also involves the review of building plans and zoning permit applications to ensure compliance. Must possess a High School Diploma/GED plus two or more years of Planning & Zoning/Clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Prior administrative support is a plus. Associates or Bachelors degree in related field preferred. Must possess a valid driver license. (Req#2020-0109)

City paid health and life insurance is provided for employee; the City requires 7% TMRS contribution by employees with a 2-1 city match; and other voluntary benefit plans are available.

$20.00 per hour
