About Us

As the largest geographic Section in our State, we are committed to providing you with quality learning and social networking opportunities in-person and virtually. Our goal is to build an interconnected mosaic of planners and related professionals from all backgrounds to unite, share, and inspire!

Our goals for 2024-25 include:

*Increasing our membership

*Increasing diversity in our section

*Provide more learning and networking opportunities

Our Accomplishments

Since January 2024, we have:

*Increased our Membership from 45 to 52 professionals

*Hosted a Section Event at Texas Tech in Lubbock

*Appointed a new Emerging Planning Leader

*Created a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Officer position

*Created a Recruitment Committee

*Conducted a Section Survey for Members

Events

Our first Section Event of 2024 was held at Texas Tech University in Lubbock on Friday, April 5, 2024 and was an amazing success! Thank to all of you who attended and volunteered! We hope to have our next event this summer. If anyone would like to attend or become a guest speaker in future, please contact us at nwtxplanning@gmail.com.

Location

The Northwest Texas Section is the largest section geographically, covering 88 counties.

The urban areas within this section include: Abilene, Amarillo, Big Spring, Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, and San Angelo.
