The Transportation Department of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking a Transportation Funding Analyst on the Transportation Improvement Program team, which facilitates and manages the selection and implementation of transportation projects within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The team monitors a portfolio of over $30 billion in projects. At NCTCOG, you’ll be part of an innovative and award-winning Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) that serves the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States. Applicants with a strong interest in several of the following areas are encouraged to apply: financial analysis, data management, data validation, and project monitoring. Tasks will generally include technical and/or public administrative support for projects and programs. Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are essential to this position. This posting is for the Transportation Funding Analyst I position, and the individual in this position will be classified as a Transportation Planner I. The planning area for transportation includes the 12 counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise.  NCTCOG also serves as a designated recipient for Federal Transit Administration funds.
