2024 Planning Awards

The Midwest Section established an annual awards program in 1992 to recognize students, individuals, and projects that have made a significant contribution to planning. 

Submit a nomination for the upcoming 2024 Awards! Award categories are: Planning Excellence, Planning Advocate, and Student Projects. Read about the award descriptions here, and submit a nomination at the following link: https://form.jotform.com/240528685085161

Any member of the Texas APA may submit a nomination for any of the award categories. Deadline for award submissions is Friday, March 29, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Award winners will be recognized at a Midwest Section Happy Hour event on Friday, April 26, 2024.

MIDWEST SECTION PLANNING SCHOLARSHIP

APATX Midwest Section 2023 Winter Planning Scholarship: Application Now Open!

The APATX Midwest Section scholarship is provided to promote planning within the Midwest Section of the Texas APA Chapter by providing partial funding to students enrolled in a university located within the Midwest Section. It is anticipated that two (2) $1,000 student scholarships (one $1,000 awarded from the Midwest Section and one $1,000 from North Central Section) will be awarded in December 2023 and later recognized at the Holiday Party Event on December 15, 2023. This would be a wonderful opportunity for planning students attending in the Spring of 2023.

Application and Eligibility Requirements

Deadline: Submit scholarship applications by 5:00 p.m. on Friday December 1, 2023.
