BGE is seeking a Platting Coordinator to join our Planning + Landscape Architecture Studio in Houston.  Our team consists of smart, fun and talented individuals who work together in a collaborative environment.  Candidates should be highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct land use and site analysis
  • Prepare agency submittal applications
  • Prepare general plans and subdivision plats
  • Coordinate with local governmental agencies
  • Prepare, collect and coordinate project documents
  • Coordinate with civil engineers and other consultants
  • Assist with special planning projects as directed by leadership
  • Conduct project research and review and interpret local development codes and regulations

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • 2-4 years of demonstrated work experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, & Adobe Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet firm deadlines
  • Understanding of A/E industry terminology, standards, and procedures
  • Solid understanding of subdivision platting principles, practices & techniques
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and specialized vocational training or equivalent
