The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The target starting salary range for this position is $60,669-70,000/year, based on education and experience. Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work 3 days per week on site at Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd. Denver, CO 80249. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Performs routine planning studies and analyses to prepares reports. Makes preliminary recommendations based on those studies. Gathers planning and engineering data and writes reports.
- Maintains the Development Referral database, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to communicate current and future development within 5 miles of the Airport. Collects, inventories, tracks, reports, and communicates all development to DEN staff using software tools, GIS, and meetings.
- Tracks and inventories of all motor vehicle crashes on DEN’s network, to create a database of incidences with location. Tracks and inventories all RTD cancellations and delays, reporting out to DEN stakeholders on trends.
- Coordinates, schedules, and maintains meeting notes for all external coordination meetings.
- Coordinates, communicates, and gathers data from DEN Ground Transportation, Parking, Commercial Business, and Planning; along with RTD and Bustang, to build a monthly report on transportation services at DEN.
- Prepares planning exhibits, maps, and analysis materials for presentation before various stakeholder groups. Assist with Airport Master Plans, facility planning and programming, and revisions to airport layout plans (ALP).
- Maintains electronic database for all planning-related drawings. Updates specialized databases used by planning staff such as the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) and FAA 7460 applications database.
- Prepares and submits new and routine renewal 7460 applications for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Coordinates FAA 7460 process with internal and external stakeholders, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Employees may be re-deployed to work in other capacities in their own agencies or in other City agencies to support core functions of the City during a City-wide emergency declared by the Mayor. - Any one position may not include all of the duties listed. However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent in performing the essential duties listed above.

- Knowledge of the principles and methods for moving passengers, people, and cargo by air, rail, or road
- Knowledge of the principles and tools relevant to land use planning, development, transportation, and FAA regulations
- Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, FARs, AASHTO, and other transportation regulatory rules and regulations governing airport planning and design
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Planning, Airport/Aviation Management, or a related field.

- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education for all classifications
- Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application
- Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
