Responsible for administration and direction of the Planning, Code Enforcement, and Building Inspection operations of the City and other related areas.

Provides professional leadership and technical service abilities for the City of Harker Heights. Serves as a representative of City staff to the Harker Heights Planning and Zoning Commission, Building Standards Commission, and the Zoning Board of Adjustments.

Responsible for updating the Land Use Plan and Zoning Maps. Provides assistance to other departments in rewriting or developing new ordinances.

Bachelor's Degree in public administration, City Planning, or closely related field preferred. Texas Driver's License Class C. Able to make presentations to City Council, Planning & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Citizen Focus Groups.
