JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Research Associate to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting academic research initiatives focused on housing and community development, with expertise in advanced data collection, statistical analysis, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough literature reviews and stay updated on the latest research trends in housing and community development.
  • Collaborate with senior researchers to design and implement research projects.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques and GIS tools for data collection, analysis, and visualization.
  • Collect, process, and analyze spatial data to uncover patterns and trends related to housing and community development.
  • Develop and maintain databases for efficient data management, incorporating GIS datasets.
  • Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and visual presentations of research findings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about emerging methodologies and technologies to enhance research capabilities.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Urban Planning, Geography, Sociology, Economics, etc.).
  • Proven experience in academic research, with a focus on housing and community development.
  • Strong proficiency in data collection, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
  • Expertise in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data analysis.
  • Advanced skills in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and data management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
  • Commitment to contributing to positive social impact through research.
