Let’s build the future of Cross Roads together.

The Town of Cross Roads is located in eastern Denton County in the heart of the DFW Metroplex.  The Cross Roads community of approximately 2,000 enjoys a “small town feel” while having the benefits of several amenities nearby.  Cross Roads is unique in that it assesses no ad valorem taxes, using primarily sales tax revenue generated from Walmart, numerous retail establishments and fast-food restaurants.  The Town is bisected by US 380 which brings over forty thousand vehicles through the Town each day.

In September 2021 the Town adopted the Town of Cross Roads Vision 2035 plan followed by an updated Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2023.  Both documents were adopted following significant community input.  Using these as a guide, the Mayor and Town Council have fostered relationships with businesses, property owners and the Denton Independent School District (DISD) to plan for the future of the Town.  Upcoming projects include a zoning overlay over the US 380 Corridor, character-based zoning districts and a partnership with DISD where the Town and the School District will jointly own, manage and develop a 30+ acre parcel of land.  A new DISD high school facility is also in the permitting process with an anticipated opening date of August 2027.
